Perth More trouble has erupted at the City of Perth, with chief executive Martin Mileham taking indefinite personal leave to deal with health issues he claims were caused by the council allegedly breaching terms of his employment contract. The ABC understands Mr Mileham claims the alleged contract breach has impacted on his and his family’s wellbeing and made him feel unsafe in the workplace.
The ABC has been told Mr Mileham had warned councillors he reserves his rights in relation to the matter and he had called on council to cease and desist actions that continue to put his and his staff’s wellbeing at risk. He was to have taken annual leave this week but that has now been cancelled and he has instead taken personal leave to address the health issues. She said the council only became aware of the investigation last week.
